October in Cádiz: A Local’s Guide to the Second Summer

Why I Love Cádiz in October

October is one of my favourite times to be in Cádiz. I like to think of it as our second summer. The intense heat of July and August has gone, the beaches are quieter, and there are still plenty of days when I can walk down to the beach in shorts and sit outside with a coffee.

This is when Cádiz becomes particularly enjoyable. You can still swim, walk along the seafront and eat outside, but you can also spend hours exploring the Old Town without constantly looking for shade.

There is another advantage too: accommodation and flights can be considerably less expensive than during the main summer holiday period. If you’re looking for warm weather without the August crowds and prices, October deserves serious consideration.
