The “Parque de los Cinco Continentes” (Park of the Five Continents) is a public park located along the Avenida de la Sanidad Pública. The park was inaugurated in 2003, with an area of 18,214 m². It occupies the space that was reclaimed on the old train line which is now underground. Before the work to move the train line, the city was effectively divided in two parts. The construction of this green area has created as an island for recreation, walking, and recreation along one of the two main avenues that form the backbone of the city.

The park features a variety of flora and fauna from each of the continents represented, as well as sculptures and other works of art. Its name is due to the fact that it is made up of species from the five continents that inhabit the surface of the Park. The five sections of the park represent Europe, Africa, Asia, America, and Oceania.
