Its just the other side of the cafe bar by the fountain statue of the two children. This unique specimen, scientifically named Chorisia speciosa, boasts a striking appearance with its stout trunk adorned with large and quite terrifying thorns.

For a great food experience with lots “going on” head to the Plaza de las Flores where you will find many bars and restaurants serving all the best food that Cádiz has to offer.

The Mercado Central in Cádiz also features the “Rincón Gastronómico”, which has different opening hours from the rest of the market. It’s open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 3:30pm and on Tuesday to Thursday from 8pm to midnight On Fridays and Saturdays from 8 pm to 1am.

Where we stayed with the kids in Cádiz

If you’re looking for a great family-friendly spot just outside Cádiz, Cádiz Paseo del Mar, Affiliated by Meliá, is a great choice. Located right on Victoria Beach and only 2.5 km from the city, it’s perfect for beach lovers and city explorers alike. Getting into Cádiz city is easy, with buses stopping just 200 meters from the hotel. And if you’re up for a short drive, you can easily reach Jerez de la Frontera, Chiclana de la Frontera, or El Puerto de Santa María, all within 30 minutes. It’s the perfect base for exploring with the family!
